Leaves are changing and the temperatures are dipping into sweater weather here in Michigan. For many, it’s a welcomed transition, a break from the sweltering heat and humidity of the summer months. For others, it’s a warning of the brutally cold months ahead and the impending struggle to keep warm throughout winter.
With the holidays fast approaching, this time of year isn’t always filled with joy and mirth and the excitement of Christmas morning.
Organizations like Detroit Goodfellows, whose mission is to ensure “No Kiddie Without a Christmas”, help Detroit families celebrate the season by distributing holiday gift boxes to children ages 4-14. Each child receives warm clothes, books, games and candy.
And so … for this year’s donation, I’ll be partnering up with writer bud J.A. Belfield and her children’s book alter ego, Jenna Lyn Field, to help make Christmas special for Detroit and Birmingham kids.
Now through Halloween, a percent of sales from Ricochet will be used to purchase and donate copies of Jenna Lyn Field’s special edition Christmas coloring books to Detroit Goodfellows AND Birmingham Children’s Hospital in the UK!
J.A. Belfield will donate a percent of sales from Darkness & Light, Book 1 in her addicting paranormal romance series.
Colour Me Funky Christmas Coloring Book is 56 pages of coloring bliss, and makes a great gift for all ages!
In addition, I’ll also make a donation to my favorite youth shelter, Covenant House, a sanctuary for young people who have nowhere to go.
