SOUL RESURRECTED BLOG TOUR BEGINS!

Not only is it Humpday—which means I have a delightfully long staff meeting to look forward to later this morning—but it’s also the start of the

SOUL RESURRECTED BLOG TOUR!!!

A number of very awesome bloggers have signed up to help me spread the word about the series!

These are fun and knowledgeable folks, well-read in the paranormal romance and urban fantasy genres.  If you like dark fiction, sign up to their blogs because they have a keen eye for good books and can steer you in the right direction.

I frequently visit their blogs when I’m hunting down a new read.

In case you missed my launch day post, here is what I’ll be giving away during the blog tour:

Gift cards, books, bookmarks, totes, t-shirts and a limited edition print signed by the smokin’ hot cover model, Julian Christian!

All you have to do is hop from blog to blog and check out what’s going on!  Spread the word about Soul Resurrected and increase your chances of winning!

On December 12th, I’m going to be over at Bitten By Books, answering all your questions about the Wrath brothers, the series, and whatever crazy stuff you wanna talk about.  Grab your drink of choice and be sure to stop by to say hello!  This was a lot of fun with Soul Avenged’s release and I look forward to hanging with you guys again!  Plus you’ll have a chance to win a $50 Amazon gift card.

Also …

With the start of the blog tour, I’m also kicking off the Scavenger Hunt today!

Go to the Scavenger Hunt page and just like you're filling out brackets for March Madness, you’ll print off the answer sheet.  Keep it handy!  Hop from blog to participating blog throughout the tour and record your responses to each question.

At the end of the tour, on December 11th, I’ll be activating the Response Submission Form right on the scavenger hunt page.

NOTE:  In order to avoid confusion, all responses will be submitted in one shot.  Response Submission form will NOT be activated until December 11th.

What’s the prize for this?

That, my friends, is a mystery … all I can say is, I’ve made it extra special just for you.

I want to thank everyone for picking up a copy of Soul Resurrected and enormous thanks for taking the time to leave a review.  I’m not much of a reviewer, but I have written a few here and there and I know that a lot of time goes into writing them.  Add the awesome pics and gifs that readers add to personalize their reviews and I’m certain it amounts to hours for many bloggers.

SOUL RESURRECTED EXCERPT

Based on a request from one of my lovely readers, I haz decided to share an excerpt from Soul Resurrected.

The book releases October 31, 2013.

In the meantime you can add it to your Goodreads shelf:

Enjoy!

Excerpt:

Wearing only her nightclothes, she left the room and walked the quiet halls toward the Wreck Room she’d learned of, where the demons worked out.

Light bled through the cracks in the door as she pushed it open, but Calla halted as she stepped inside.

Logan stood before a sparring dummy—punching, kicking, until it knocked over.

He picked his silent opponent up off the floor and went at it again, grunting with each powerful punch that had the thing shimmying like a dashboard hula girl.

Sweat glistened across his skin as his muscles flexed with each movement—every hit executed flawlessly. A black ball cap, turned backward, hid his short cropped hair, above the black wife beater and warm up pants he wore.

Consumed by the contraction of his muscles and the precision of every hit, Calla’s fascination stole away her earlier anger.

The guy had a way of making a girl forget how much of an asshole he could be—or anything else for that matter.

What the hell had she gone there for?

As if he’d heard her thoughts, he stopped abruptly, mid-swing, and turned around.

Those brown eyes narrowed on her and his lip curled. “What are you doing here?” He faced-off with the dummy again. “Leave.”

Discomfort flooded her insides, turning her muscles stiff “I … I was just …” She swallowed past the lump in her throat. “I’m sorry.”

He accosted her faster than she could blink.

She backed herself all the way up to the wall. Her heart thrummed, pulse racing, as he boxed her in with his arms.

Chest heaving, his eyes radiated fury as they flickered red, emitting waves of authority that begged for her to look away. “Sorry for what, exactly? For getting me stabbed? Having my brother enslaved by a fucking succubus? Or do you mean you’re sorry for getting my other brother kidnapped by a goddamn psychopathic demon hunter?”

Tingles danced along the rims of her eyes and for all the effort of holding them back, tears spilled onto her cheek. Damn him.

Logan smirked and shook his head.

God, she wanted to claw his eyes out for it, as her sadness quickly turned into something primal, lodging deep within her gut, that couldn’t’ve given a damn that the male boasted three times her strength. “You’re a bastard, you know that?”

His jaw clenched. “What did you just say?”

“I’ve met a lot of repulsive creatures in the last few years, but you’re by far the worst of them all.” She swiped at her nose. “You hate me. I get it. So why don’t you cut the crap? You want me to leave? Fine. Happy to.”

She pushed herself off the wall but was thrown back against it, the collision knocking a small bit of wind out of her lungs and forcing a cough.

Like missiles warning fire, Logan’s massive arms replanted either side of her head, his face so close his breath hit her. Red flickered in his eyes. “You’re right. I’m the worst.” He inhaled a deep breath through his nose and spoke on the exhale. “Do you know what humans are to a Wrath? Blood in the water. Like sharks, we wait in hiding for that one moment when no one’s around. You’re all alone. Vulnerable.” His pelvic bone thrust against her. “A ripe fruit. Ready to be eaten.”

A cinnamon scent drifted past her, and weakness in her knees beckoned her to collapse. Her sex ached for him to grind against her again. She licked her lips. Touch me, she wanted to say to him, as if one single caress of his finger across her skin would take away the overwhelming need to be screwed right where she stood.

For some reason, she suddenly didn’t care who’d stroll in and see them.

The more the merrier.

His eyes met hers again, and as if lust took physical form, his lids seemed heavier, his lips so kissable they taunted the distance between them. “You’ll fall prey to my pheromones.”

That voice, so deep and powerful, tickled her stomach and she wanted to laugh at the thrill washing through her insides.

Fangs protruded from his lip and Calla wondered what it’d be like to feel them at her throat. “See, I don’t even have to try to make you want me. You’d let me fuck you right here against the wall if I wanted.”

Fuck. The word echoed in her head, and her body broke out in sweat. She bit her lip as visions of the raunchiest sexual experience she’d ever witnessed passed through her mind.

Every one of them starring Logan.

Oooh!  That's it ... but only a month to go and you'll have the whole thing!

Also, for those of you who may have missed it, check this out:

These would be the LIMITED EDITION prints of the cover that I'll be giving away during the Soul Resurrected Blog Tour (NOVEMBER 6-DECEMBER 6) signed by the very sexy Julian Christian.

Wanna know how you can win one?

Follow the tour!  This is one of many prizes you could score if you stop in on the participating blogs.

IT'S HERE!! COVER REVEAL: SOUL RESURRECTED

I had a whole intro in mind for this post … Ya know, something along the lines of how few things are more exciting than seeing your characters come to life.

Blah blah blah.

NOTHING I would’ve said could’ve possibly trumped the absolute coolness of what lies below.

So I’ll just keep it brief and say THANK YOU to all my readers who stopped in to vote for your favorite model during the Cover Model Contest.  You made it such a fun event for me--one I will totally do again!

Thank you to Julian Christian and all his muscly hotness.

And enormous thanks to my designer, David Wagner, who is just too damn awesome for words.  Seriously, he not only creates great covers, he makes it fun! Collaborating with him has been a blast!

For the constant redesign of my logo, gotta thank my fandamntabulously gifted brother, Ryan.

The dark background was taken by my talented photographer sister, Lisa, inside the Packard Plant, Detroit.  So I must say thank you to her and her fiance, Glenn, for venturing where most wouldn't dare to go.  Not kidding.  Peering into depths like these, not knowing if the structure you're standing on is strong enough to hold you in all the wreckage, is kinda frightening:

No railing.  And I don't even want to THINK of what's at the bottom if you fall...

Finally, thank you to my crew of kickass bloggers who helped me pimp this purdy little thang all over the net:

BookarooJu, Lola’s Reviews, Scribbler’s Sojourn, Book Lovin’ Mamas, A TiffyFit’s Reading Corner, Romancing the Dark Side, The Autumn Review, Book Soulmates, Talk Supe, Paranormal Reads Reviews, Reality Bites Let’s Get Lost, Pages of Forbidden Love, Under the Covers Book Blog, Reading Infection, Herding Cats and Burning Soup, Fictional Candy, Paranormal Cravings, Booked & Loaded, The Raven’s Quill, A Simple Love of Reading, The Demon Librarian & The Rabid Reader, Prufreads, Rumor Has It, Close Encounters With the Night Kind and My Random Muse.

So without further delay, here is YOUR cover, the one YOU helped design:

The Blurb:

As Wrath’s fiercest son, Logan carries the scars of fifty years spent in the most dreaded prison of the underworld, for a sin he’d kill to keep secret. Enduring decades of gruesome torture has left Logan feared by and detached from others, until a female Alexi’s blood resurrects his soul from death and, with it, the pleasures he’s been denied for so long.

Plagued by shame of her own, Calla is drawn to the ruthless demon, Logan, whose insatiable craving for her touch rouses buried passions and, for once, leaves her feeling desired.

A dark and dangerous evil has been reawakened, however, and when Calla is drawn too close to its breeding grounds, Logan vows to summon the violence of Wrath in order to keep her safe. First, though, Calla must save him from a past riddled with deceit and corruption … but only if she can accept the chilling consequences of unearthing his vilest skeleton.

Interview With David Wagner

Forgive me if this intro is a little all over the map.  It's Friday and I'm pretty excited about today's feature... I know I've been off the radar lately, but ONLY because the publication date for Soul Resurrected is around the corner (this will be a separate blog post announcement next week).  There is SO MUCH going on with this book!  I'm doing a read-thru of the MS that will be off to the editor next week sometime.

*clutches stomach*

In addition, the cover art is well on its way to reveal--mark your calendars--for AUGUST 29TH, 2013 (I'll be getting with my bloggers to help me show it off!).  The gorgeous cover model, Julian, has already been photographed for it by the very talented, David Wagner as I mentioned in a previous post.  I have a special treat at the bottom of this post...but you MUST read the interview first!!  No peeking.

David is also designing the book cover!

It's been an absolute blast collaborating him, pulling the image of Logan from my head into real life.  Only a patient person who's very attentive to details could manage such a feat in all the clutter I've got going on upstairs, and let me tell you, David is both.  I'm sure my author buds would agree, its an incredibly thrilling moment to see a character materialize just as you imagined.  And to top it off, David's enthusiasm in gathering and teasing out those details keeps me questioning how such collaboration can be considered 'work'.

Imagine someone asking you to gush about a character:  "Tell me his story and give me as many details as you can."

In the short time I've worked with David, I've come to look at him as somewhat of a kindred spirit.  So I thought I'd break from my read-thru to get a more in-depth look at his brilliance--the part of these mouthwatering photographs that you don't get to see.

KL: David, thank you for taking the time to let me pick your brain.  Why don't you start out by telling us a little bit about yourself:

DW:  I grew up in a very rural part of southwest Missouri. I was lucky enough to be born to very caring parents who are still very much in love, and have just celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary. I’m the youngest of 3, I have one brother and one sister. I grew up out in the country next door to my grandparents who both had a great knack for storytelling. So I spent a lot of my summers as child with my grand parents and their siblings listening to their stories of living during the time of the great depression, driving Ford Model T’s, and their memories of seeing a movie for the first time or to see an airplane for the first time.

I was drawing pictures of things around our house from the time I was 3. I drew vases. I drew houses. I drew the faces of people on the cover of Life Magazine. My favorite tv show as a child was Bewitched and I knew at a young age I wanted to be like Darrin Stephens. I wanted to be in advertising. I was lucky enough to receive an art scholarship to Missouri State University. My degree was in Fine Arts with an emphasis in Graphic Design and Photography. It was there in a beginners photography class (black and white, film) that I fell in love with photography. But I felt that advertising was the better choice for finding a job when I graduated so I got my first job in advertising as an art director in 1985. I worked in Advertising for 22 years, really loved it and I think it was a great foundation to be come a photographer.

In 2005, I was diagnosed with a rare cancer and went through a very intense and challenging chemo protocol. At one point I had a severe allergic reaction to one of my chemo drugs and had to be put on a respirator for a few days. Over a four month hospital stay, I had two surgeries, a pulmonary embolism, and a ruptured upper intestine. Several times I was told to be prepared and say my goodbyes, but because of an amazing family, nurses, doctors and friends, I went into full remission. But it only lasted 3 months. At that point I had to have an experimental protocol of high dose chemo and a stem cell transplant. I was told I had a 35% chance of getting into remission and a 15% to 20% of dying from the treatment itself. Odds didn’t really seem to be in my favor but it was my only option. This was a very rough period. Basically prior to the chemo, they harvested my own stem cells that would be frozen and then given back to me after my treatment. This is done because high dose chemo is so toxic it completely ruins your immune systems ability to ever let you recover. So you get this chemo that basically get you to the brink of death, and then they infuse your back with your own frozen stem cells which were not affected by the chemo and that brings your immune system back and enables you to recover. I think that experience caused a huge shift in my life that made me feel that it was time to re-evaluate and stop doing things I didn’t want to do and to do more of what I wanted to do.

And what I wanted to do was photograph people.

KL: What an incredible journey.  You beat the odds, came out on top and ultimately pursued what you love.  Truly an inspiration!  So how did you break into photography and cover design?

DW: I think the first part of this question was answered above. One of my very best friends has been a book cover illustrator for years and he was looking for someone to take photographs of models for him to use as a basis for his photo illustrations. So that’s how the book cover work started.

KL: You can check out some of David's cover work HERE

What do you predominantly photograph?

DW: Most of my work is for fiction romance and paranormal novels. And since the majority of those covers require photographing very handsome and built men, this has expended my areas of expertise to fitness photography, and fashion photography.

KL: Handsome, built men you say?  Suddenly wishing I had some camera talent...  Do you have any requirements while photographing that get you in the zone?

DW: My only requirement is a comfortable, relaxed, stress-free environment. No egos, no drama…from myself or the models.

KL: Have you ever photographed anyone famous?

DW: The most famous person I’ve photographed is probably the most well-known fitness model, Greg Plitt. Greg has probably been on the cover of more fitness magazines than any other model and was also one of the trainers on Bravo’s “Workout”.

KL: What do you love most about your job?

DW: I’m still in awe of light and how it shows us things and hides things from us. And it’s fascinating to try to control that to tell a story.

KL: Is there a model you’d love to photograph someday?

DW: I think my two favorite models that I would love to work with are David Gandy and Tony Ward. They are both exceptional models who really push the envelope and are willing to be seen in untraditional ways.

KL: Gandy?  *zones out* Yeah, so, when you book his shoot, let me know.  Happy to be *cough* an assistant or something.  Have you designed covers for any well-known authors?

DW: I think the most well know author that I’ve shot cover photography for would be Kresley Cole.

KL: Pause.

I'm sorry, I MUST take a moment to fangirl.

KRESLEY COLE?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Okay, moving on.  Is there an author whose cover you’d love to design some day?

DW: Well, I hope to continue to work with author Keri Lake. Beyond that I would love to do covers for some other authors that are not really in the romance/paranormal genre, such as Michael Cunningham, David Sedaris, Dan Brown, Michael Chabon and Caleb Carr

KL: I'm very much hoping to continue working with you as well, David!  If you could hop into a time machine and travel to any point in history, who would you love to meet and why?

I would go to Florence Italy in the 15th century and would try to apprentice with Michelangelo or DaVinci. I think this time of enlightenment, a time when art was as important (and actually part of) science would be wonderful.

QUICK FIRE ROUND:

Life Motto to Live By: Follow your passion. Trite I know, but it’s true.

Favorite Movie: The Hours

Favorite Song/Band: Annie Lennox, “Why”

Favorite Book: Sorry have to give you 2: “The Hours” and “Confederacy of Dunces”

This is NOT the actual photo that will be on the cover.  This is just to get your mouth watering until August 29th, when I'll be doing the actual cover reveal!

Meet Logan from Soul Resurrected:

"Not following.  And to be honest, I’m caring less the more you talk.  So let’s cut the shit and start the bleeding.”  Logan flipped the dagger in his hand.  “My hand gets twitchy after a while."

Soul Resurrected Update!!

Whoa!  Just noticing that it’s been two weeks since I last blogged! Good reason for that though.

It’s been a preeeeeeeetty busy start to July!  First, the cover model results … did y’all see those?  If not, go take a peek because it’s worth looking at the winner’s photo one more time even if you have seen the results:

WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT

Julian is so … le sigh.

He makes one very sexy muse for this character.  A great pick for the cover.

Okay so that’s one reason why I haven’t been blogging the last couple of weeks, but I’ll get to that in a sec.

Last week was my sister’s bachelorette party and I celebrated with her, friends and family down in Detroit.

Check out the bride-to-be:

My other sister was also in town and I was VERY excited to hang out with her at my nephew’s birthday party:

 Miss her ❤

So that was my busy weekend with the family.

Going back to the book cover …

Julian’s photo shoot was last Sunday and let me tell you, in the thick of prepping Soul Resurrected for beta readers, I found myself slipping in and out of focus.

So.  Distracted.

Especially when photographer, David Wagner, sent me some images of Julian at the beginning of the shoot.

Holy Hella Hotness.

This cover is going to rock ... so frickin' excited!!

Yeah so much as I tried to concentrate after that, visions of chiseled abs and pecs mercilessly danced through my head.

Then there were the 300 or so additional images that David sent later in the evening that left me … totally done.  Like don't talk or look at me because my eyes are glued to the computer screen for the next hour done.

Good God.  I have no idea how I’m going to narrow it down to one pick.

By some miracle though, I did eventually finish up the final edits to Soul Resurrected and it’s in the hands of some very badass betas with sharp pens.  I hope they tear the everloving shit out of that thing and leave me with a ravaged, bloody mess.

So what’s next??

Well, I’m going to be opening the Official Sons of Wrath Store.

And …

I promised to put together a page for all the handsome faces I’ve stumbled upon during the Cover Model Contest.  So these two will be my focus for the next week while I try not to obsess over the fact that quite a few people are reading my book right now.

*breathes into paper bag*

David and I are choosing the final image for the cover and I’ll be scheduling the Cover Reveal VERY soon!!!

After that, I’ll be putting together some fun stuff for the Soul Resurrected Blog Tour.  Might do something a little different this time … I’ve got some crazy ass ideas floating around my head for that.

OH!!  And remember the sexy Italian model that I chose for Calix's cover?  I'm going to give you guys a little sneak peek of him too!!

I’m also going to be treating August as sort of a NaNo month and will be busting my butt to write Soul Enslaved (Gavin’s book).

All you Gavin fans will be pleased to know that the search for his cover model will begin soon!!

Phew!  Lots coming up ...

But I’m curious to know how YOU guys see Gavin … anyone come to mind when you think of this character?  Actors, musicians, your local Starbucks barista???  This will help me in the narrowing down sexy candidates process.  Not that I'm complaining, but it's not an easy job, ya know?  i kinda want to scoop all of them up and make a big sexy alpha sandwich for the cover.  So give me some input!!

Grab a copy of Soul Avenged here:

Amazon (Kindle)Amazon (Print)  |  Barnes & Noble (Nook)

And The Winner Is ...

Yeah, okay I said I was going to post the results tomorrow, but ya know?

Who’s gonna complain that they’re a day early???

Man, I’ve never been so eager to calculate a spreadsheet full of numbers in my life!!  I attended a wedding on Saturday and all I could think about, aside from the relentless loop of AC/DC You Shook Me All Night Long playing in my head (thanks, Cheeks!), was how badly I wanted to get home and do my homework.

For months I’ve been going through portfolios, searching for the face of Logan and now, I finally get to announce him!!

Before I do, just want to quickly thank some people who were an integral part of this contest and made it a successful venture:

To all of the models:

Not just the final five, but ALL the guys (over 200 candidates) who submitted their portfolios. Thanks so much for the daily distraction and for taking an interest in the contest!

To my top 5 candidates

(Michael Ceorgoveanu, Julian Christian, Jon Mahoney, Ajdin Sefer and Adriel)

I had no idea what to expect with this contest.  You guys made it fun and exciting, not just for me, but for readers as well.  Your drop dead good looks combined with your bios and interview responses brought such variety to all the different traits of this character—from cocky bad boy, to Logan’s tortured side.  Thank you so much for taking the time and participating.  And uh … for giving me something to stare at the past few months, of course.  *coughs*

Definitely something I’d repeat.

To the bloggers who helped me spread the word:

Love my pimps!

Booked and Loaded, Bookaroo-Ju, Reality Bites Let's Get Lost, Paranormal & Urban Fantasy Reviews & Goodies, Paranormal Book Club, Prufreads Blog, Book Lovin Mamas, Under the Covers, Reading Between the Wines Book Club, Romancing the Dark Side, Got Fiction, Fictional Candy, Herding Cats & Burning Soup, Talk Supe, Reading Infection, The Drunken Pervy Creepers, The Autumn Review

Thank you so much!

Finally, to my readers:

I wanted to find a way to make you a part of my next book, to give you something fun and entertaining as you patiently await Logan’s story.  Even if your guy didn’t win, you own a part of this story because you got to know the character, you participated, you provided your input, you spread the word and your name will be included in the acknowledgments (if you opted to be included)!

I can promise you that there will be more opportunities throughout this series for all of you to own a part of my stories.  Thanks so much for reading them and giving me a big reason to love what I do.

YOU made this contest a success!!

Okay, on to the winners of the $50 Amazon gift cards and t-shirts:

Congratulations to Elizabeth K. H. and Judith C.!

I also picked another winner from the comments on the voting page for a Sons of Wrath Swag Pack:

Congratulations to Veronica de Luna!

I shall be emailing all of the winners today.

AND NOW …

to find out which sexy candidate I’ll be drooling er, will serve as my muse for book two.

The votes have been aggregated, calculated, obsessed over.

And I’m incredibly excited to announce that ...

JULIAN CHRISTIAN will represent the face of Logan for Soul Resurrected!!

If you happen to recall from his spotlight (did anyone read what I wrote or …) I mentioned that it was this photo that got me all tingly about advancing him to the finalists:

I can't help it ... now every time I look at this photo, the song pops into my head.  Thinkin' its his badass expression ...

This is good.  Very good.

After all, it was this song that inspired the character.

Guess what?

The genius photographer behind this photo, David Wagner of WagnerLA Photography, will be working with me on the cover design, which means, (not that he needed any help, mind you), Julian will be looking dayum good when it’s all said and done.

I mentioned in a previous post that David also photographed the sexy Italian model who will be the face of Calix in book four.  And um … wow.  I’ll share those as soon as I can.  Excuse me ... *picks jaw up off the floor*

And since Soul Resurrected (Book Two) is slated for fall publication, y’all get to see the final results very soon as I’ll be scheduling the cover reveal next!

HolyHotDamnSomeoneKnockMeTheHellOut.

Gonna need something hard-hitting to tone down my excitement a little!!

Quickly, I’ll just mention that I’m nearly finished with my edits.  I know, I know.  WTF?!  Well, more than anything, I want to give you guys a great story.  I can’t bring myself to throw out a bunch of shite for the sake of a deadline.  So I’m slightly behind but will be handing off the manuscript to my betas next week.

Betas … I’ll be hunting you down soon!

Lastly, if your guy didn’t happen to win this particular cover—and I’m asking that all voters please be respectful to all candidates in the contest—fret not, for there are plenty of books and novellas plotted for this series.  You might just see his handsome face on a future cover!

Gavin’s book is next … and I can’t WAIT to begin looking for the gorgeous face that will represent him in Soul Enslaved.

Thank you again for helping me choose the guy.

All five of the candidates are absolutely drool-worthy, and if left up to me, would've been squished together onto one cover.

Come to think of it ...

What a smokin' hot mess that would've been!

Cover Model Spotlight: JULIAN CHRISTIAN

About Julian ...

I have a great deal of experience as a model and an actor. I have had formal training as an actor at NYU. I believe my portfolio speaks for itself. I love being in front of the camera for beauty and art of creating something inspiring. I have had appearances on Ugly Betty, The Colbert Report and a FX network series called Terriers. I have done several tv commercials and infomercials for companies including Brookstone, Nissan, Mercedes Benz, Cox Communications and LG phones. I have modeled in the past for the likes of Men's Heath magazine, Saks 5th Avenue, Chase, Claiborne underwear, Nikon and others.

Why I Chose Julian as a Finalist:

The obvious?  His jaw-dropping physique and striking good looks.  Aside from that though, this guy has an intense expression that's just incredible.  And if you've read Soul Avenged, you know that Logan isn't a happy-go-lucky guy.  He's mean, brooding and totally alpha.  So when I came across this pic for Julian, I was instantly SOLD:

Now on to the interrogation:

Tell us 3 interesting things about yourself that most would not know:

1. I have a masters degree from New York University in Occupational Therapy

2. I have studied acting and I am passionate about pursuing my acting career.

3. I am a voracious reader. I read anything and everything I can get my hands on. I love alternate history books

What are your interests/hobbies?

I have 2 French Bulldogs whom I love a great deal. I volunteer with the Special Olympics and Ronald McDonald House. I love to surf, snowboard, mountain climb, bike and hike.

Where’s the perfect location for a first date? (can be anywhere in the world—real or fictional)

I would have to say the North Shore on Maui. After a day at the beach surfing or learning how to surf and watching the sun set we would finish off the evening with a dinner at one of my favorite restaurants, Mamma's Fish House.

Who is your role model/influence?

I always try to live my life as how Jesus would. I don't always do but it's my goal. Not to judge others, to love my neighbor as much as I love myself.

What do you do to keep in tip-top shape?

I do cardio 4 to 5 times a week and I also train with weights for strength. I also try to eat clean, unprocessed, organic food for about 90% of the time.
